La geografia sanitaria: un’area di ricerca in declino? Una review della letteratura italiana del decennio 2005-2014

ABSTRACT:
La geografia sanitaria e la geografia medica, parti della più ampia geografia della salute, hanno vissuto alterne vicende nel panorama della ricerca geografica italiana ed internazionale. Il presente contributo, dopo aver delineato i “confini” della geografia sanitaria, offre una review della letteratura prodotta del decennio 2005-2014 sulle tematiche dell’area. La review evidenzia che la geografia sanitaria rappresenta in Italia un orizzonte di ricerca ancora da esplorare che apre ad un ruolo attivo della geografia e del geografo sanitari nella definizione delle policy pubbliche.
Health geography: a research area in decline? A review of the Italian literature between 2005-2014. – The geography of health is commonly divided into two areas of research: the medical geography, which investigates the relation between the environment, broadly understood, and the onset and the diffusion of diseases, and the health geography, which analyzes the relation between the territorial systems of care and the demand for health. This study offers a review of the health geography studies between 2005-2014 demonstrating that the health geography is in an area of research still unexplored in Italy. Nevertheless it represents an interesting scenario for test the dynamic role of the geography and the geographers in policy and planning definition.
Géographie sanitaire: un domaine de recherche en déclin? Une revue des études Italien entre 2005 et 2014 – La géographie de la santé est généralement divisée en deux domaines de recherche: la géographie médicale, qui étudie la relation entre l’environnement et l’apparition et la diffusion de maladies, et la géographie sanitaire, qui analyse la relation entre les ressources sanitaire territoriaux et la demande pour la santé. Cette étude propose une revue des études de géographie sanitaire entre 2005 à 2014 démontrant que la géographie sanitaire est un domaine de recherche encore inexploré en Italie. Néanmoins, il représente un scénario intéressant pour tester le rôle dynamique de la géographie et de les géographes dans la définition des politiques et la planification.
